We cannot wait to get back to MARTELL'S for what has become a very popular event for all of our Jersey Shore beerheads and a personal favorite of the beerheads.com crew. We have some cool new features in store for 2014 but the basic package of GREAT FOOD and AWESOME BEER remains the same. The event will once again be held inside and outside during the afternoon session and mainly inside for the evening.
The weather is starting to turn for the better finally (after tomorrow) so we expect to have a sunny day and a relatively warm evening. After this winter, 55 degrees will feel like 80.
The brewery list in 2013 was exceptional (see below) and it will only get better as we are adding some space in order to add even more breweries. And the beer menu will once again be handpicked by Mr. Beerhead himself and he guarantees that no one will be disappointed. And that includes the Designated Drivers, who not only get to feast on the buffet all day, but also get a nice takehome gift AND a chance to win a great prize. And as far as the New Jersey breweries that will be showcased, we are happy to announce that newcomers Boleron Snort aqnd Cape May are slated to appear along with Carton, Flying Fish, East Coast, Cricket Hill and more.
But if you ask anyone who has been to this event they will tell you that the food is every bit as great as the beer. The BUFFET is outrageous. No need to carbo-load before this beer fest because you will be eating all day and the offerings from Chef Tom are always amazing...and the food won't run out. It is a never-ending feast of the highest quality. Seriously. Mr. Beerhead has been to over 500 beer fests and he has never seen a better food/beer package or a better value than this event.

Beers On The Boards is an annual craft beer and gourmet food extravaganza held in late March on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach at the legendary Martell's Tiki Bar and is a fundraiser for the Pt. Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce. Beerheads (TotalBRU Marketing) brings in the best regional and national breweries (with their reps) and runs the event with the same attention to detail as they have with their other award-winning beer festivals.
There are two sessions: Afternoon (12:30pm - 4pm) and Evening (6pm - 9:30pm).
You can expect some new features for 2014 - a beachfront Cider Bar and a highlight on some fresh new beers from some upstart Garden State breweries/brewpubs.
And you can expect the unexpected from the returning breweries as we will make every effort to introduce you to NEW flavors and seasonal specialtiy beers from world-class breweries like Stone, Founders, Allagash, Great Lakes, Dogfish Head, and many more!!!
You will taste IPAs, porters, brown ales, stouts, wheat beers, rye beers, lambics, pilsners, bocks, doppelbocks, dubbels, tripels, saisons, bieres de mars, farmhouse beers, barrel-aged beers, barleywines and ciders...just to name a few!

Part of the pleasure of a great beer fest is the ability to roam the venue and enjoy some conversation with the brewery reps, and this event is designed for that purpose
- The first two BEERS ON THE BOARDS were sold out for both sessions with very limited walk-up sales available.
- Over 30 breweries will once again take over Martells and Chef Tom will be preparing a new buffet menu with some beer-inspired items and interesting pairings and a few entrees cooked with beer.
- Your ticket includes the full buffet and 2 ounce pours of more than 60 different beers during your selected session.
- This event has limited capacity and we will not oversell it so buy your tickets early!
